Since our foundation, with the firm belief that safety, speed, and reliability are key elements in fulfilling our mission and serving our shippers, we have operated under the guiding principle of the "Spirit of 'Wa' (harmony).” We offer a wide range of transportation services, including intermodal freight transport, international marine containers, transportation of automobile components, aircraft, space rockets, construction equipment, industrial vehicles, and general cargo. Our track record in the number of transportation, occupational, and traffic accidents has consistently been well below the statistical average, earning us the tremendous trust of our customers.
ISO39001 (Road traffic safety)
On May 30, 2014, we received certification for the Road Traffic Safety Management System (ISO 39001). ISO 39001 is an international standard that outlines the requirements that companies and organizations need to address in the area of road traffic safety. Its goal is to help reduce the number of fatalities and injuries in spite of the global increase in road traffic accidents, which have a profound impact on society. This is a highly sought-after third-party certification standard that is expected to gain widespread adoption in the future as its scope extends beyond the automobile transportation industry to include auto manufacturers, roadway management companies, and all other companies that use vehicles. After obtaining ISO 39001 certification, we have been engaged in initiatives to reduce the risks associated with road accidents. These efforts include sharing Road Traffic Safety (RTS) information within the company, setting specific RTS goals, and using the PDCA cycle as a management system. We also consider striving to achieve “Zero Traffic Accidents” through our business activities as one of the social contribution initiatives that we should actively undertake from the standpoint of CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility). We will continue to implement these initiatives and strive for continuous improvement to provide safe, high-quality transportation services.
